In a commitment to foster collaboration and enhance educational standards, Dr. Eric Nkansah, the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), actively participated in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) session hosted by Arch Bishop Potter Girls’ Senior High School on October 4, 2023.

These weekly PLC sessions serve as a valuable platform for educators across various Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs) to come together and share best practices to improve teaching and learning experiences.

One of the key objectives of these PLC sessions is to reinforce teachers’ comprehension of and adherence to the National Teachers’ Standards (NTS), a critical aspect of educational excellence. Educators exchange insights and methodologies through these collaborative gatherings to enhance Ghana’s education quality.

Dr. Eric Nkansah, an advocate for teacher development and quality education, lauded Arch Bishop Potter Girls’ Senior High School for their dedication to the weekly PLC sessions. He commended the school’s leadership and staff for actively participating in these sessions, recognizing their role in advancing teaching and learning practices.

The event also witnessed the presence of other distinguished personalities, including Mr. Stephen Kwaku Owusu, Deputy Director-General of Management Service; Mr. Prince Charles Agyeman Duah, the Director in charge of Schools and Instructions; Mr. Robin Todd, the Executive Director of T-TEL (Transforming Teacher Education and Learning); Mrs. Felicia Agyeibea Okai, the Regional Director of Education, and other notable dignitaries.
