Ho Technical University conducted a comprehensive internship preparatory seminar for BTech and HND students, providing essential skills and knowledge for successful internships.
HTU Holds Internship Preparatory Seminar for Students
The Directorate of Career Placement and Counseling at Ho Technical University (HTU) organized an intensive one-day seminar for Level 300 BTech and Level 200 HND students on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
The seminar aimed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills for their upcoming internships.
Comprehensive Understanding of Internships
The day’s event offered a thorough understanding of the internship process, covering detailed application procedures, expectations, and the significance of internships in the student’s academic and professional journeys.
Mr. Edem K. Honu, Deputy Registrar and Acting Director of Career Placement & Counseling, facilitated the session, guiding students through the entire internship application process.
Essential Topics Covered
The seminar covered crucial topics such as workplace etiquette, effective communication, and time management skills. These topics are essential for ensuring that students are well-prepared to maximize their internship experiences.
Mr. Honu emphasized the importance of internships, highlighting how they provide students with invaluable hands-on experience in their chosen fields.
He explained that internships allow students to develop critical skills, build professional networks, and gain practical insights that significantly enhance their employability and career prospects.
