In a bid to empower aspiring mathematicians and educators, the prestigious University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has opened its doors for the 2023/2024 academic year. Applications Open: The University has commenced the application process for a range of programs in the Department of Mathematics Education. From passionate educators looking to enhance their skills to future scholars seeking advanced degrees, UEW’s offerings cater to diverse ambitions.

The Department of Mathematics Education at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) is inviting applications from qualified applicants for the 2023/2024 academic year. The department offers a variety of programs, including:

• M.Ed. Mathematics Education (Sandwich)
• PhD in Mathematics Education
• Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education
• B.Sc. Mathematics Education with Economics
• MPhil in Mathematics Education

The M.Ed. Mathematics Education (Sandwich) program is designed for working professionals who want to advance their careers in mathematics education. The program is offered on a part-time basis and can be completed in two years.

The PhD in Mathematics Education program is designed for students who want to pursue a career in research or teaching at the university level. The program is offered on a full-time basis and can be completed in four years.

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education program is designed to prepare students for careers as mathematics teachers in secondary schools. The program is offered on a full-time basis and can be completed in four years.

The B.Sc. Mathematics Education with Economics program is designed to prepare students for careers as mathematics teachers in secondary schools and economics professionals. The program is offered on a full-time basis and can be completed in four years.

The MPhil in Mathematics Education program is designed for students who want to advance their knowledge and skills in mathematics education. The program is offered on a full-time basis and can be completed in two years.

All of the programs offered by the Department of Mathematics Education are accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB).

To be eligible for admission, applicants must have a good first degree in mathematics or a related field. They must also have a minimum of 5 credits in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and a science subject.
