Introduction

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has officially commenced the sale of E-vouchers for the 2024 Access Course, providing prospective applicants with the opportunity to pursue degree programs in Public Health and Allied Health Sciences. With a blend of online and face-to-face learning, this course serves as a pathway for entry into Level 200 of degree programs at UHAS.

Programs Offered:

Successful candidates of the Access Course will gain admission into Level 200 of the degree programs at the Fred N. Binka School of Public Health and the School of Allied Health Sciences (Medical Laboratory Sciences Only). The programs available for study include:

Fred N. Binka School of Public Health:

  • BPH Disease Control
  • BPH Environmental Health
  • BPH Health Information
  • BPH Health Promotion
  • BPH Nutrition
  • BPH Mental Health

School of Allied Health Sciences (Medical Laboratory Sciences Only):

  • Medical Laboratory Science

Entry Requirements:

Fred N. Binka School of Public Health:

Category A:

  • Certificate holders in related fields such as Environmental Health, Mental Health, Nutrition, Health Records, etc.
  • Community Health Nurses/Midwives (Health Assistants Preventive) and Clinical Health Assistants.

Category B:

  • Public Health personnel, graduates from Colleges of Education with diplomas, and holders of certificates in related fields such as Statistics, Sociology, and Demography.

School of Allied Health Sciences (Medical Laboratory Sciences Only):

  • Prospective applicants with Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science or HND/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science/Science Laboratory Technology with relevant professional practice experience.
