Madam Elise Christine Reynolds, a scholar from the University of California Global Health Institute, generously donates equipment valued at $5,000 to the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), aimed at improving teaching and learning experiences.

Cape Coast, Ghana:  A generous gesture from Madam Elise Christine Reynolds, representing the University of California Global Health Institute, has brought valuable equipment worth $5,000, to the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics of the University of Cape Coast (UCC). These items are expected to significantly enhance the teaching and learning environment at the department.

The equipment donation includes two projectors, two Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) units, one HP laptop, one photocopier, one HP printer, and printer toners, all of which are vital tools for a modern educational setting.

Madam Elise Christine Reynolds, in her capacity as a scholar from the University of California, presented the equipment with the goal of improving educational resources within the department. She emphasized the importance of handling these items with care, recognizing their value to the educational mission.

The Head of the Department for Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Prof. Christiana Naa Atsreh Nsiah-Asamoah, expressed the department’s sincere appreciation to the University of California Global Health Institute for this benevolent gesture. “I wish to thank Elise and the entire University of California for these items on behalf of the whole department,” Prof. Asamoah said, echoing the department’s gratitude.

Prof. Asamoah provided assurance that the items would be put to good use, serving their intended educational purposes to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

Furthermore, it was revealed that Madam Elise Christine Reynolds would actively participate in the implementation of the Step-up project (Skuul Tsenabea Edziban Papa Project). This collaborative initiative, involving the University of Cape Coast (UCC), the University of California, and Oklahoma State University, holds the promise of further elevating educational quality and promoting academic excellence.

The initiative is a shining example of global cooperation, which will undoubtedly benefit students and educators at the Department of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics and enrich the learning environment with modern technology and resources.

Present at the event were the Dean of the School of Allied Sciences, Prof. Omane Acheampong, the Vice Dean, Prof. Richard K. Ephraim, the Faculty Officer, Mr Sowah Boye, and the Department’s Administrator, Mr. Benjamin Abony.
