Accra, Ghana -The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) recently hosted a law in education training program for school owners, administrators, head teachers, and proprietors of private schools in Greater Accra. The training focused on the latest laws and regulations governing education in Ghana.
The GNACOPS training covered a wide range of topics, including the Education Act, 2008 (Act 778), the Children’s Act, 1998 (Act 560), and the Persons with Disability Act, 2006 (Act 715). The training also covered topics such as child protection, teacher misconduct, and discipline.
Over 200 participants from private schools in Greater Accra attended the training. The training was facilitated by a team of experts from the Ghana Education Service (GES), the Ministry of Education, and the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA).
The GNACOPS training is part of the organization’s commitment to ensuring that private schools in Ghana comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The GNACOPS believes that compliance with the law is essential for creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
The GNACOPS is a non-governmental organization that represents the interests of private schools in Ghana. The organization was founded in 2001 and has over 2,000 member schools.
