Accra, Ghana.- The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) recently hosted a two-day assessment framework training for private school teachers in Greater Accra. The training focused on the Standard Based Curriculum (SBC) and the Common Core Programme (CCP).
The SBC is a new curriculum that was introduced in Ghana in 2019. It is a competency-based curriculum that focuses on developing students’ skills and knowledge in key areas such as mathematics, science, English, and social studies.
The CCP is a set of academic standards and benchmarks that were developed by a consortium of states in the United States. The CCP is designed to ensure that all students are prepared for college and careers.
The GNACOPS training provided teachers with the knowledge and skills they need to implement the SBC and CCP in their classrooms effectively. The training also covered assessment design, development, and administration.
