UPSA’s First Female Registrar, Dr. Koryoe Anim-Wright, Retires After Distinguished Service

After years of dedicated service to the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Dr. Koryoe Anim-Wright has announced her retirement, effective April 1, 2024. Dr. Anim-Wright, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in higher education management, leaves behind a legacy of excellence and innovation.

A Trailblazer in Higher Education

Dr. Anim-Wright made history in August 2020 when she became UPSA’s first female registrar, breaking barriers and inspiring generations to come.

Before her appointment, she served as the Dean of UPSA’s Centre for International Education and Collaboration (CIEC), demonstrating her exceptional leadership and dedication to academic advancement.

A Legacy of Excellence

During her tenure, Dr. Anim-Wright spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency, improving student services, and implementing progressive policies.

Her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to academic excellence have left an indelible mark on UPSA’s growth and development.

Championing Gender Equality

Dr. Anim-Wright has been a staunch advocate for gender equality and diversity in academia, championing initiatives to support and uplift women in higher education.

Her dedication to creating an inclusive environment has earned her recognition both locally and internationally.

A New Chapter Begins

Following her retirement, Dr. Anim-Wright will be succeeded by Mrs. Lorraine Gyan, an alumna of UPSA who previously served as the Director of Administration.

Mrs. Gyan brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of UPSA’s values to her new role as registrar.
