The Forum for Public Sector Associations and Unions has issued a notice to embark on a nationwide strike on May 2, 2024, citing unresolved issues related to the implementation of pensions for Public Sector Workers.
Key Concerns and Ultimatum
In a statement signed by Chairman Isaac Bampoe Addo, the Forum highlighted four pertinent issues affecting pension implementation, as outlined in their letter dated March 5, 2024. They emphasized that if these issues are not resolved by April 30, 2024, they will proceed with the industrial action.

Member Associations
The Forum comprises several prominent public sector associations and unions, including the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association (GRNMA), Ghana Medical Association (GMA), Government Hospital Pharmacists’ Association (GHOSPA), and Ghana Association of Certified Registered Anesthetists (GACRA).
Other members include the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), Coalition of Concerned Teachers, Ghana (CCT), Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), and Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG).
