The Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended the deadline for 2024 promotion applications for both teaching and non-teaching staff. Learn about the qualifications and mode of application in this important update.

GES Extends 2024 Promotion Application Deadline for Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the extension of the deadline for 2024 promotion applications for both teaching and non-teaching staff. This decision comes as a response to connectivity challenges and to accommodate those who have not yet applied.

New Deadline

The deadline for submitting promotion applications has been extended to April 12, 2024. All eligible teaching and non-teaching staff are encouraged to take advantage of this extension to complete their applications.

Qualifications for GES Promotion 2024

To be eligible for promotion, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Deputy Director: Promoted to Assistant Director I grade on or before 2019 and continuously at post since then.
2. Assistant Director I: Promoted to Assistant Director II grade on or before 2019 and continuously at post since then.
3. Principal Superintendent: Promoted to Principal Superintendent grade on or before 2019 and continuously at post since then.
4. Senior Superintendent I: Promoted to Senior Superintendent I grade on or before 2019 and continuously at post since then.

Mode of Application for GES Promotion 2024

Here are the steps for applying for promotion:

1. Visit the official GES promotions website at www.gespromotions.gov.gh.
2. Complete the application form and upload a passport-sized photograph.
3. Upload your last Promotion, Upgrading, or Appointment Letter.
4. For applicants with Masters/Doctorate Degrees, upload the respective certificates.
5. Ensure that all documents uploaded are in PDF format, except for the passport-sized photograph.

Applicants are advised to act promptly and take advantage of the extended deadline to avoid missing out on this opportunity for career advancement within the GES.
