The admission process for the Four-Year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programs in the Forty-Six (46) Public Colleges of Education in Ghana for the 2024/2025 academic year has officially commenced. If you’re passionate about shaping the future through education, now is the time to take the first step towards becoming a qualified teacher.
General Admission Requirements:
To qualify for admission into the B.Ed programs, applicants must meet the following criteria:
For WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants: Credit passes in six (6) subjects, including English Language, Core Mathematics, Social Studies, and three (3) elective subjects relevant to the course of study.
For GCE Advance Level Applicants: Passes in three (3) subjects (with at least one pass at Grade D or better) and credit passes in five (5) GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and a Science or Social Science subject.
For ABCE Applicants: Passes in three (3) subjects (with at least one pass at Grade D or better) and credit passes in five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, or Social Studies.
For TVET Applicants: TVET Certificate II with Lower Credit (C-) or better in six (6) subjects, including English, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies, and three (3) relevant Elective Subjects.
For Foreign Qualifications: Equivalence determination and eligibility for admission by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).

- Make a payment of Three Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHS 300.00) at any branch of the Consolidated Bank, Ghana (CBG) Limited.
- Receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and an Admission Application Serial Number.
- Visit the Colleges of Education admission website (admission.coeportal.edu.gh) and complete the online application form using the provided PIN.
- Print a copy of the application form and send it, along with a passport photograph and copies of results slips, to the Principal of your first-choice college via EMS priority envelope.
- Keep your mobile phone handy for notifications regarding the status of your application and admission offers.
