University of Cape Coast Hosts Orientation for Ghana Police Cadet Officers
The University of Cape Coast (UCC) recently hosted an orientation program for Cadet Officers Course 53 of the Ghana Police Academy at the Ghana Police Training School in Accra. This initiative marks a significant collaboration between UCC and the Ghana Police Academy.
Dual Training Program
The Cadet Officers, comprising 431 officers, will undergo their regular police training alongside pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Security Studies from the Department of Forensic Sciences at the University of Cape Coast.
This unique dual training program aims to enhance the officers’ knowledge and skills in security management and law enforcement.
Creating a Conducive Academic Environment
In her address at the orientation program, Prof. Sarah Darkwa, the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at UCC, emphasized the university’s commitment to providing a conducive academic environment for the Cadet Officers.
Prof. Darkwa assured the officers of the university’s support and resources to facilitate their academic pursuits.
