The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) invites prospective applicants for admission into various diploma, bachelor, postgraduate certificate and diploma, and master programmes.
OFFERING OPTIONS:
All graduate programmes are available in modular, evening and weekend offering options: in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi and Tema. Evening offerings may include lectures on Saturdays while Weekend options may start from Friday evenings as the case may be. All undergraduate programmes are available in the day and evening offering options in Accra
GIMPA Masters and Post Graduate Diploma Programme For the 2023/2024 Academic Year
BACHELOR AND DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
1.0 SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY
1.1 DEGREE PROGRAMMES
BSc. Computer Science
BSc. Information and Communication Technology
1.2 DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
Diploma in Applied Computer Science
A 2-year programme is offered at the Greenhill Campus only. It is offered as a Day
programme.
2.0 FACULTY OF LAW
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Post First Degree Applicants ONLY
3.0 SCHOOL OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND GOVERNANCE
Bachelor of Science in Public Administration
GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR BACHELOR PROGRAMMES
WASSCE/SSCE/GBCE Candidates:
Credit Passes (A1-C6) or (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core
subjects, including English language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant
elective subjects. Physics or Elective Mathematics (Grade D or C6) is required to
pursue Computer Science.
GCE“A” Level Candidates:
Passes in three (3) GCE “A” Level subjects (at least one of the passes should be
Grade “D” or better) plus five (5) GCE “O” Level credit passes (Grades 1-6)
including English Language and Mathematics. Physics or Elective Mathematics
(Grade D or C6) is required to pursue Computer Science.
Higher National Diploma (Top-Up) Applicants
Admission of Higher National Diploma (HND) candidates to first degree
programmes to either Level 200 or 300 depending on the relativeness of
programmes.
Applicants must have graduated with a good HND certificate (at least
second-class lower division). Other diploma qualifications from elsewhere
assessed to be equivalent to HND by the Ghana Tertiary Education
Commission (GTEC) may be similarly considered.
Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Applicants
Full Diploma in ABCE.
Credit Passes (WASSCE: A1-C6) or (SSSCE/GBCE: A-D) in five (5) subjects
comprising three (3) core subjects, including English language and
Mathematics, plus two (2) relevant elective subjects. Physics or Elective
Mathematics (Grade D or C6) is required to pursue Computer Science.
ABCE applicants may be considered at Level 200 of a degree programme.
Mature Applicants
Applicants can also apply through GIMPA’s Mature Programme. Mature
applicants must:
Be at least 25 years of age at the time of application;
Have completed SSS/SHS or taken an equivalent programme;
Possess a proof of age (passport, baptismal card, birth certificate etc.) issued not less than 5 years from the application date;
Complete the undergraduate application form;
Have taken and passed the GIMPA Mature Programme
Upon passing the Mature programme, applicants are directly enrolled on the chosen
Bachelor’s Degree programme.

subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including the English language
and Mathematics, plus two (2)relevant elective subjects.
HOW TO APPLY
An application can be done manually or electronically (online).
The online application platform can be accessed by clicking the Apply Now
button on our website (https://www.gimpa.edu.gh/).
Application E-VOUCHERS can be obtained from any Consolidated Bank
Ghana (CBG):
Application E-VOUCHERS can also be purchased via Mobile Money using the
USSD code 924200*16#.
International Students will pay $100.00 for the application fee upon admission.
Applicants are expected to collect a copy of their payment slip from the Bank
when they purchase the e-voucher.
Applicants must take note that the process for admission to GIMPA is very
transparent. Applicants should therefore beware of any persons who may
approach them under the pretext of assisting them gain admission at a fee.
Note: Applicants who graduated from GIMPA, from 2014 to date should
indicate their student identification numbers on their application forms
before submission.
