GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (UNDERGRADUATE)
a. WASSCE / SSSCE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PROGRAMMES
Credit passes (A1-C6 / A-D) in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies (input all the four core subjects when applying) in addition to three elective subjects applicable to the programme of choice.
(Applicants should note that they are expected to have at least C6/D in Social Studies, even though it is NOT included in the calculation of aggregates.
b. A-LEVEL APPLICANTS
Candidates must have the General Certificate of Education at Ordinary Level in five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics, in addition to Chemistry, Physics and Biology at the Advance Level G.C.E.
c. OTHER EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIALS
i) IGCSE/IB – Applicants must possess at least Grades A*/A-C in English, Mathematics and Biology at the Standard (SL/‘O’ Level), in addition to three Higher Level (HL-A to C)/‘A’ Level (A to d)/IB2 (A-C) grades in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
ii) American High School Grade – Grades 12&13 examinations.
d. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
International Applicants and Ghanaians with foreign Educational Credentials which are equivalent to those listed in ‘a’ to ‘c’ above may apply to all Programmes.
NB: Foreign Certificates must receive authentication and equivalences from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). Foreign students must have their high school certificates and diplomas translated into English if they are not written in English.

SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS
- Bachelor of Dietetics
- Bachelor of Diagnostic Imaging (Radiography)
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy
- Bachelor of Orthotics and Prosthetics
- Bachelor of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences
Entry Requirements:
i. All Core Subjects listed in ‘a’ above in addition to any 3 of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Elective Mathematics.
ii. Applicants with Food and Nutrition, Management in Living and General Knowledge in Arts can apply to Bachelor of Dietetics.
iii. Non-Science students who wish to apply for Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences must possess a grade of at least B2/B in Integrated Science.
NB: All shortlisted applicants may be required to pass a selection interview.
SCHOOL OF BASIC AND BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS
- Bachelor of Science Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Entry Requirements:
i. All Core Subjects listed in ‘a’ above in addition to Chemistry, Biology and Physics or Elective Mathematics
ii. General Agriculture/Animal Husbandry/Horticulture, Chemistry and Physics or Elective Mathematics
SCHOOL OF MEDICINE (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) (6 years)
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (6 years)
- Bachelor of Physician Assistantship (Clinical)(4 years)
Entry Requirements:
All Core Subjects listed in ‘a’ above in addition to Chemistry, Biology and Physics or Elective Mathematics.
NB: All shortlisted applicants, shall be required to pass entrance examinations and a selection interview.
SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Bachelor of Midwifery
- Bachelor of Public Health Nursing
Entry Requirements:
All Core Subjects listed in ‘a’ above in addition to any three (3) of the following:
Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Elective Mathematics, Economics, Geography, Government, History, Christian Religious Studies or Islamic Religious Studies, Literature-in-English, French, Ghanaian Language, General Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, General Knowledge in Arts and Management in Living.
NB: There may be a selection interview for all shortlisted applicants.
SCHOOL OF PHARMACY (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) – 6 years
Entry Requirements:
i. WASSCE/ SSSCE applicants must have obtained three (3) credits in all the Core Subjects listed in ‘a’ above in addition to (3) credits in the following Elective Subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Elective Mathematics.
ii. Candidates who apply must have General Certificate of Education (O-Level) in five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics, in addition to Chemistry, Physics and Biology at the A-Level
iii. Mature applicants must have obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Dispensing Technology/related courses or its equivalent from an accredited institution with at least three (3) years relevant working experience.
OR
Applicant must have attained the age of 25 at the time of submitting the application forms and must have five (5) credits at A-level, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
F. N. BINKA SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH (REGULAR) – HOHOE CAMPUS
Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) with the following options:
- Disease Control
- Health Information
- Health Promotion
- Nutrition
Entry Requirements:
i. Pure Science students who have all Core Subjects listed in ‘a’ above in addition to any three (3) of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Elective Mathematics are qualified to apply for all programmes.
ii. Disease Control: Economics, Geography, General Agriculture Crop & Soil Science, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture.
iii. Nutrition: General Agriculture Crop & Soil Science, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Management in Living, Food and Nutrition.
iv. Health Information: Elective Mathematics and Elective ICT, Economics, Geography, General Agriculture Crop & Soil Science, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture.
v. Health Promotion: Government, Literature in English, Economics, History, French, Geography, General Agriculture Crop & Soil Science, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Management in Living, General Knowledge in Art, Food and Nutrition.
SCHOOL OF SPORTS AND EXERCISE MEDICINE (REGULAR) – HO CAMPUS
- Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Medical Sciences
Entry Requirements:
All Core Subjects listed in “a” above in addition to three credits (A1-C6/A-D) in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Elective Mathematics.
