Augustine Appiah who was a one-time President of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana was elected as President in the 2019/2020 Academic Year and was later impeached as president.
Later, he was reinstated after agitations and consideration by the Delegates’ Congress.
Two years after his handing over of the National Presidency, He contested the position of Sector Cordinatorship which was described by many as a retrogression of the organogram of the Association.
During the 27th National Delegates Congress being held at the Wiawso College of Education on February 9, 2023, Teacher Trainees were shocked to hear the former national president could agree to contest the portfolio.
After further deliberations, Congress accepted that decision though unfortunate since it was a personal interest of the former president to contest, and also accepted by his sector even though many thought it was a complete retrogression.
