The upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 2024 will be the first to be conducted under the New Common Core Program (CCP) Curriculum, as outlined in the recently released academic calendar for the 2023–2024 academic year.

Accra, Ghana– The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced that the first Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) following the implementation of the New Common Core Program (CCP) Curriculum is scheduled for July 2024.

This significant development was disclosed as part of the recently released academic calendar for the 2023–2024 academic year, which affects basic schools across the country.

The New Common Core Program (CCP) Curriculum is a comprehensive education reform initiative aimed at enhancing the quality of education in the country.

This new curriculum has been designed to provide students with a broader and more well-rounded educational foundation, integrating both core subjects and a range of practical skills and knowledge to better prepare them for the challenges of the future.
