EducationGhana| July 11| EXPOSED: Government organizing some teachers to return to the classroom to undermine Teachers’ COLA Strike:
Reports reaching EducationGhana indicate that the government has mobilised some ‘hungry’ teachers who are members of the ruling government to return to the classroom and teach, to create an impression that the strike was irrelevant.
According to reports, the teachers were told to record videos of themselves in the classroom to depict a mistrust of their union leadership and a strategy to make the government’s effort to call off the strike relevant.
Confirming the allegations, a meeting has been held by the membership of the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) on July 10 to update members on the strike action and discussed the strategy by the government to make the strike action look irrelevant using the same teachers against their leadership decisions by returning to the classroom.
CAUTION
The leadership of NAGRAT has cautioned its members to be careful with such decisions of getting moni4s to go nack to schol whilst the largers group suffers for the ignorance of the very few.
NAGRAT leadership has sent out a task force to ensure that such teachers are being dealt with.
