National Teaching Council Opens Resit Registration for Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination
The National Teaching Council (NTC), mandated by the Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (ACT 1023), announces the commencement of resit registration for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination. This initiative aims to regulate the teaching profession in Ghana and uphold professional standards among educators.
Eligibility for the Licensure Examination
Candidates who were unsuccessful in one or more papers of the traditional Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) may register to re-sit.
This registration is only for re-sit candidates of the traditional GTLE. As a result of the implementation of GTLE reform which started last year, the Council is giving a final chance to candidates who have outstanding papers to write in the traditional GTLE (Essential Professional Skills, Literacy and Numeracy).
After this, there will be no examination for the traditional subjects in 2024 and beyond. Any candidate of the traditional GTLE who would like to write GTLE afterwards will have to start afresh with the reformed GTLE in 2024 and beyond.
Eligible candidates are required to apply online at exams.ntc.gov.gh and complete the application form for the licensure examination.
