EducationGhana| June 28|COLA Strike 2022: We shall not be moved by government’s silence – CCT
The Coalition of Concerned Teachers -Ghana (CCT-GH) has described Government’s silence on labour threats on the payment of Cost of Living Allowances (COLA) as disrespectful, adding that it shall not be moved by the posture of the Government on their decision to go on strike after June 30, 2022.
The Central Regional Secretary of the Coalition of Concerned Teachers Ghana, Mr Amos Amoako in a statement released on June 27, 2022, indicated that the government wants to take public sector workers for granted.

” As of June 2022, the government has turned deaf ears to the grievances expressed by labour or the union. Is the government insensitive about the sufferings of workers or does the government deliberately want to punish workers? Why the long silence on the subject matter by the government? ” The Union asked.
The Union said if indeed the government is a listening government, then the government should as a matter of urgency, engage labour for tempers to cool, else by June 30, 2022, their tools will be laid down if their call for COLA is not adhered to.
