EducationGhana| August 23| NUGS partners with A-LEAGUE Consult to Provide Leadership Training to Students
The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has signed a partnership agreement with the A-League Consult which will allow the A-League Consult to provide leadership development, capacity building and skills enhancement training for student leaders in Ghana.
The ultimate goal of the partnership is to adequately equip student leaders with the knowledge, expertise and skills that will make student leaders more effective and impactful in their leadership roles.
The A-League Consult is an independent Human Capital Development training provider and personal development specialist organization with a mission to provide/deliver quality leadership training, capacity building and skills enhancement interventions for businesses and organizations in Ghana.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on Friday 8th July 2022 at the University of Ghana, Balme Library Conference Room after the A-League Consult delivered a Leadership Development Training and Capacity Building Workshop for newly elected executives and selected national officers of NUGS.
This MOU sets the stage for NUGS to engage the services of A-League Consult as the lead partner to provide Human Capital Development Consultancy Services to NUGS in the next one year, subject to renewal.
In an interview with the media after the MOU signing ceremony, the President of NUGS, Mr Dennis Appiah Larbi- Ampofo expressed his profound gratitude to the A-League Consult for the decision to partner and support NUGS to develop the capacity of student leaders in Ghana.
He said “in our current dispensation, we have many student leaders who have the will to lead and support the followers but may not have the requisite skills and capacity to lead effectively.
It’s only appropriate that we give much attention to these kinds of leaders to empower them to contribute significantly to the development and welfare of students in Ghana. Our partnership with the A-League Consult intensifies NUGS’ collective commitment toward unearthing great leaders for the future.”
“If we are determined as a nation to secure the future of Ghana, then it is imperative for us to invest heavily in the development of student leaders now because they are the future leaders.
Our partnership with NUGS will enable the A-League Consult to significantly contribute to the training, grooming and mentoring of student leaders so that by the time they enter into various strategic national leadership roles, they will be ready and competent to be true change leaders.” Said John Appiah, CEO of A-League Consult.
