Level 400 BCom Management Students Donate Educational Materials to Kwaprow JHS
Final-year students pursuing Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Management have exemplified community service by generously donating educational materials to Kwaprow Junior High School (JHS), on April 3, 2024, amplifying the educational resources available to young learners.
The Beneficial Donation
The donated items, comprising five whiteboards, two graph boards, four boxes of markers, and four packs of dusters, aim to bolster the academic journey of the school’s students. This philanthropic act was instigated as part of the semester course, “Project Management.”
Initiative Overview
Dr. Eric Gonu, a lecturer from the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management, spearheaded the initiative.
He elucidated that the project management course provided a platform for students to apply theoretical concepts practically, benefiting both the learners and the community at large.
Hopeful Impact
Acknowledging the limitations posed by the school’s educational needs, Dr. Gonu expressed optimism that the donation would significantly enhance the quality of education at Kwaprow JHS. He urged students to remain committed to their studies, emphasizing the importance of academic pursuit.
Grateful Reception
Mrs. Victoria Mensah, the Headmistress of Kwaprow JHS, extended gratitude on behalf of the pupils for the thoughtful donation.
She assured that the educational materials would be put to optimal use, echoing the positive impact of previous contributions from the University of Cape Coast’s students and faculty.
In Closing
The generous donation from the BCom Management students exemplifies their commitment to community development and educational empowerment. Such initiatives foster a culture of giving back and serve as pillars of support for educational institutions striving for excellence.
