A high-level delegation from Zimbabwe, including Members of Parliament and officials from the Zimbabwean Embassy in Ghana, paid a courtesy call on Ghana’s Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, in Accra today, as part of a study visit to explore Ghana’s education policies and innovation ecosystem.
The delegation’s visit forms part of Zimbabwe’s broader agenda to benchmark best practices from Ghana in technical and vocational education, digital learning, and policy governance in the education sector.

In his address, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu outlined Ghana’s far-reaching educational reforms that aim to improve access, equity, quality, and relevance across all levels of learning. He emphasized the government’s policy direction toward linking education with national development priorities, especially in TVET, STEM education, and digitally inclusive learning.
“We are aligning education with industrial and national development by empowering learners with 21st-century skills through STEM and TVET,” Hon. Iddrisu stated.
He also highlighted innovations in Ghana’s curriculum reforms, teacher development strategies, and scholarship policies designed to drive inclusive growth.
