The NTC lamented over the inability of teachers to show interest in obtaining Continous Professional Development (CPD) Points for their license renewal.
The NTC in a letter dated October 2, 2022, to the Director General of the GES indicated that the development was worrisome.
”The Council, therefore, calls on you as the employer of a large number of teachers to strategize how you can support your staff to work consciously towards compliance.” The letter suggested.

The NTC further indicated, that the trend of the GES staff’s compliance with the prescription of the law is worrisome and your immediate intervention to forestall us coming to the brink of a legal dilemma.
”It is important that NTC enforces the law but is equally important that our schools have professionally qualified teachers.”
”This pre-emptive communication is to enable us to strategize ahead of time and ensure that no teacher is unduly affected.”
