September 2019: Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination begins today at all Centres

September 2019 edition of the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination begins today in all Centres across the country.

The Examination begins today ,September 24,and ends on the 26th September 2019.

The National Teaching Council is mandated by the Education Act 2008 (Act 778), Section 9 to improve professional standing and status of teachers and to ensure licensing and registration of teachers in Ghana.

The purpose of the Licensing Examination is to enable qualified teachers acquire a professional license and also prepare teachers to meet the demands of the National Teachers’ Standards of possessing the minimum knowledge, skills, values and attitudes necessary to deliver effectively in schools.

Important Notice for Candidates at Accra College of Education Centre

Over 2000 candidates selected Accra College of Education (AcCE) as their examination centre, due to inadequate furniture, the AcCE Centre has been divided into two:

1. AcCE Campus
2. University of Cape Coast Distance Education Centre (UCC Centre) at Papafio, near Ashaley Botwei – East Legon area.

The candidates with Index Numbers in the range of 0001 to 0900 will write the examination at AcCE Centre.

All Candidates with Index Numbers from 0901 and above will write the examination at the UCC Centre.

AcCE CENTRE:

The examination will take place in the following Halls:
1. Auditorium
2. Cafeteria
3. Lecture Block 2 (Top Floor Room 1)
4. Lecture Block 2 (Top Floor Room 2)
5. Lecture Block 3 (Top Floor Room 1)
6. Lecture Block 3 (Top Floor Room 2)

Notices have been displayed to direct Candidates to their examination halls as well as the examination regulations. Candidates are to report early and go through the examination regulations before the commencement of the examination.

About 30 Invigilators have been deployed to invigilate the examination at AcCE Centre. There will be briefing for the Invigilators at 7:30am before the commencement of the examination.

All Candidates who would like to lodge at AcCE Halls of residence during the examination period are to register and pay non-refundable fee of GH¢15.00 (Candidates from other institutions) and GH¢10.00 (AcCE Candidates, arrangement concerning payment have been made).

No Candidates should continue to stay at the Halls of Residence after the examination on Friday, 27th September, 2019 by 8:00am without permission.
