Elizabeth Peprah, a level 1oo Home Economics Student was on Friday night crowned the face of St Teresa’s College of Education,Hohoe.
She was adjudged winner after exhibiting her skills in winning souls for Christ in a pageantry that saw other ladies showcasing their talents in different activities.
Elizabeth also showcased impactful performances in her choreography and was adjudged MOST ELOQUENT lady of the night.
She was given an Modern Electric Oven and an electric Burner with other valuables.
In addition to her glory,Elizabeth is set to undertake a project on the use of Teaching and Learnng Materials in the Classroom.
Also,she is expected to begin the distribution of Teachong and Learning Materials to tutors in
College and the St Teresa’s Demonstration Basic School.
The first Runner Up went to Vivian Gyimah ,a level 100 Home Economics Student who was
also given a rice cooker and other valuables.
Rosemond Asirifi ,a level 100 Primary Education Student won the Second Runner Up position and was given an Electeivc Burner and other valuables.
The pageantry is an annual event which takes place usually during the College’s SRC Week Celebration.
The winner is mostly expected to represent the College at the Sector level for the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana.
Purpose of the Pageantry
In an interview with EducationGhana.net , the College’s Women Commissioner,
Keziah Mansah Segbedzi brought to light,the purpose of the event.
In her response,she indicated,the pageantry eas meant to enhance the worth of Women inNational Development.
She said,the ladies were given the opportunity to showcase their talenrts and ideas which
were supposed to have a positive impact on matters affecting National Developmet.
She encouraged the ladies to take up the inititiative to develop themselves in all endaevors.
She was optimistic this year’s winners shall make history in the College SRC Pageantry by
taking up projects that have impact on themselves and the society.
