History of Education Blogging in Ghana
Education Blogging was started in Ghana in 2014 by Ellis Ferdinand who was known for contributing his ideas to the development of Education in Ghana using his famous blog EducationGhana.net now EducationGhana.org.
Ellis Ferdinand started blogging in 2013 as a celebrity and lifestyle blogger at Ellisferdinand.blogspot.com
He started Education Blogging in 2014 after he abandoned Celebrity and lifestyle blogging to project the works of teachers and the Education Sector.
Ellis Ferdinand wanted to put a stop to alleged corrupt activities in the Education sector. With his in-depth knowledge of Ghana’s Education Sector, Ferdinand was able to project the sector to appreciable heights.
Ellis Ferdinand got the general public’s attention in late 2013 when he questioned the government’s decision to introduce a three-month pay policy which to date had its effects on teachers’ salary arrears.
Ellis Ferdinand Suffered political interpretations in his publications since 2014 when he started active education blogging.
His publication on the adverse effects of the three months pay policy introduced by the National Democratic Congress in 2013 through to his prediction of the Posting of Teacher Trainees being halted by the New Patriotic Party among others gave him a lot of pressure from the politicians and their followers.
