The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially opened admissions for the 2025/2026 academic year at 46 public Colleges of Education across the country. These institutions offer a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree, aimed at training the next generation of professional teachers in Ghana.

📌 General Admission Requirements for Colleges of Education in Ghana
1️⃣ WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants
✅ WASSCE Candidates:
- Must have credit passes (A1-C6) in six subjects, including:
- Three core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science/Social Studies
- Three elective subjects relevant to the program of choice
- Must have at least credit passes (A-D) in six subjects (three core + three electives)
2️⃣ GCE Advanced Level Applicants
✅ Must have:
- Passes in at least three subjects (one of which should be Grade D or better)
- Credit passes in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects, including English, Mathematics, and a Science or Social Science subject
3️⃣ TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) Applicants
✅ Must hold one of the following qualifications:
- Certificate II in three relevant trade areas
- National Board for Professional and Technicians Examination (NABPTEX) qualification in a related field
4️⃣ Special Admission for Persons with Disabilities

- Wesley College of Education (Kumasi)
