Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) is set to organize a training workshop towards the roll-out of the GES PLC App.
In a letter signed by Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh, the Deputy Director-General for AG. Director-General said the management of GES has developed a robust and integrated application system known as the GES PLC App to support the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in schools.

PURPOSE OF THE GES PLC App
According to the Ghana Education Service, as part of measures to improve the effective implementation of the Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in basic schools, management of the Service with technical assistance from the Ghana Library Authority has developed a robust and integrated application system known as GES PLC App to support the implementation of the PLCs in schools and it is about to be roll-out nationwide.
PHASES OF THE TRAINING/ROLL-OUT
The roll-out of GES PLC App will be done in three phases with phase one being the basic schools in the Upper West, Northern, Oti, Bono East, Greater Accra, and Western Regions starting in January 2023.

PHASE 1 STARTING DATE
Training workshop for GES PLC App Phase one has been scheduled for the basic schools in the Upper West, Northern, Oti, Bono East, Greater Accra, and Western Regions starting in January 2023.
TRAINEES FOR THE GES PLC App
All District Training Officers, ICT Coordinators, Deputy Directors – Supervision, School Improvement Support Officers (SISOs), and Basic School Coordinators will be trained on the use of the GES PLC App to support their basic schools for effective implementation of PLCs in schools.

The training program for GES PLC App which will take place virtually is scheduled as per the attached.
Take note: The link for the meeting will be shared in due course.
Accordingly, the management of GES request Regional Directors of Education concerned to officially inform their respective Metro, Municipal, and District Directors to arrange for the officers mentioned above to fully participate in the virtual training.
