Following public debate and speculation, the Ghana Education Service has shared a detailed explanation of the 2025 WASSCE results to guide public understanding.

 

Strict Directives Before Exams

GES indicated that prior to the examination period, the Ministry and the Service issued strong warnings to teachers and supervisors against aiding malpractice. These directives were actively enforced nationwide.

 

Rigor Was Necessary

 

The Service argued that the improved supervision was necessary to restore confidence in the examination system. Several attempted cases of malpractice were intercepted.

Transitioning to International WASSCE

GES reminded all candidates and educators that the country will fully participate in the international WASSCE in May and June 2026, urging adequate preparation.
