CHASS Communicates Financial Constraints to NSMQ Organisers

The Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) has officially informed Primetime Limited, organisers of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), that schools across the country will not be able to participate in the 2025 NSMQ Launch and Preliminary Balloting scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, 2025.In a letter dated October 3, 2025, and signed by Mr. Baro Primus, National Secretary of CHASS, the association cited non-availability of funds to support schools in mobilising and preparing their students for participation.According to CHASS, the delay in the release of government funds has made it impossible for schools to meet the financial requirements needed for logistics and travel arrangements ahead of the competition.
