WAEC has begun sending messages to BECE examiners as general coordination and conference marking start on September 19, 2024, and conclude on October 6, 2024.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially started notifying BECE examiners about the coordination and marking process for the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). According to the schedule, general coordination for all examiners will commence on Thursday, 19th September 2024, with conference marking set to conclude by Sunday, 6th October 2024.

This period marks a crucial phase in the BECE process, as examiners across the country prepare to ensure the timely and accurate assessment of students’ performance. WAEC has been sending individual messages to examiners, informing them of their responsibilities and the upcoming coordination dates.

Both the general coordination and conference marking are vital components of the examination process, ensuring that standards are maintained and that students’ scripts are marked consistently and fairly across all regions.

The BECE is a pivotal examination for students in Ghana and other West African countries, determining their progression into senior high school and shaping their academic future. WAEC’s coordination and marking efforts are expected to adhere to the highest standards to reflect the hard work of both students and educators.

All examiners are encouraged to be fully prepared for the coordination and marking period to ensure the process runs smoothly and within the specified timeframe.
