Overview
The Ghana Scholarships Secretariat, in partnership with the Australian Government, invites eligible Ghanaians to apply for the Australia Awards Scholarships 2026 intake. These fully funded scholarships provide an incredible opportunity for qualified individuals to pursue Master’s degree programs in Australia.
The aim is to equip emerging leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to drive Ghana’s sustainable development across critical sectors.
Priority Fields of Study
Applicants may apply for programs aligned with the following areas:
- Agriculture and Food Security
- Climate Change
- Foreign Policy and International Security
- Gender, Disability, and Social Inclusion
- Mining Engineering
Who Can Apply? – Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the 2026 intake, applicants must:
- Be a Ghanaian citizen
- Hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to an Australian bachelor’s degree
- Be at least 25 years of age by February 1, 2026
- Have at least five (5) years of post-graduate work experience
- Be employed at the time of application
- Not have previously received a long-term Australia Award
- Women are strongly encouraged to apply
What the Scholarship Covers
Recipients of the Australia Awards Scholarships will benefit from:
- Full tuition fees
- Return airfare
- Living and establishment allowances
- Health coverage
- Supplementary academic and fieldwork support (if required)
How to Apply
All applications must be submitted online through the OASIS portal.
Required documents include:
- Valid passport
- Undergraduate degree certificate and academic transcript
- Updated curriculum vitae (CV)
- Employer referee report
- Academic referee report
NOTE: No physical submissions will be accepted. Applications without complete supporting documents will be disqualified.

Late applications will not be considered.
