Reports reaching EducationGhana suggest that participants of the Common Core program (CCP) Curriculum Trainer of Trainers workshop in Tamale have boycotted the workshop over poor accommodation, T&T and feeding.
The participants are calling on the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education service to address their concerns before the matter gets out of hand.
The participants at the Tamale Technical University campus representing the Northern Region have indicated that the continuous disrespect and disregard for the teaching profession by their employers shall not be tolerated during the ongoing workshop.
Accommodation
The participants argued, that the accommodation had about 6 participants in one room,which is a student hostel without observing the Covid-19 protocols with respect to Social Distancing.

Feeding
The participants are of the view that the quality of food being served at the workshop was less nutritious and call on the organizers of the workshop to give them food of high nutrition and well balanced.
Transportation
According to the participants, they were given a GHC200 transportation fee which was a flat rate without considering the distances from which they travelled.

The CCP Curriculum Workshop
The CCP Curriculum Trainer of Trainers workshop is scheduled from December 26 to 31,2020 to prepare participants for the training of teachers for the implementation of the curriculum for the 2020/21 Academic year for JHS 1 to SHS1.
