St. John’s School wins the Western Zonal Championship of the NSMQ with 33 points, triumphing over Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS and Shama SHS in an intense competition.

Intense Competition Marks Western Zonal Championship

The Western Zonal Championship of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) saw fierce competition, with St. John’s School emerging victorious after a series of challenging rounds.

End of Round 1

  • Shama SHS: 15pts
  • Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS: 11pts
  • St. John’s School: 11pts

The first round set the stage for an intense contest, with Shama SHS taking an early lead.

End of Round 2

  • St. John’s School: 17pts
  • Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS: 13pts
  • Shama SHS: 10pts

St. John’s School made a strong comeback in the second round, gaining the lead with 17 points. The competition was heating up with two more rounds to go.

End of Round 3

  • St. John’s School: 27pts
  • Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS: 23pts
  • Shama SHS: 20pts

By the end of the third round, St. John’s School maintained their lead, closely followed by Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS and Shama SHS.

  • St. John’s School: 33pts
  • Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS: 26pts
  • Shama SHS: 23pts

St. John’s School clinched the championship title with a final score of 33 points, showcasing their exceptional knowledge and quick thinking. Archbishop Porter Girls’ SHS and Shama SHS finished in second and third place, respectively.

The championship concluded with St. John’s School celebrating their hard-earned victory, setting a high standard for future contests.
