Ferdinand | EducationGhana | April 30| “No Fees Stress” Portal Opens for First-Year Public Tertiary Students in Ghana
In a bold move to enhance access to tertiary education, the Minister of Education, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, has officially launched the No Fees Stress application portal for first-year students in Ghana’s public tertiary institutions. This initiative, powered by the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF), seeks to provide financial relief to eligible students under the newly introduced No-Fees-Stress policy.
The policy aims to break down the financial barriers that prevent many Ghanaians from accessing higher education. Described as a transformative and visionary initiative, the No-Fees-Stress policy represents a strategic investment by the government to boost human capital, drive national development, and ensure inclusive access to tertiary education for all.
According to SLTF, this effort aligns with its mandate to support students in accredited institutions and ensure successful policy implementation. The newly launched online portal simplifies the registration process, allowing students to easily submit their information for eligibility verification.
The portal is now live and accessible at https://www.nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh and https://www.sltf.gov.gh.
For further assistance, students are encouraged to contact SLTF at 0302751020 or visit any of their zonal offices nationwide.
The CEO of SLTF, Dr. Saajida Shiraz, signed the release, reaffirming the Fund’s commitment to removing financial obstacles and ensuring that no student is left behind.
