The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has indicated in its 2020 Manifesto that it shall increase the Retention Primuinm on teachers’ salaries when voted into power on December 7, 2020.
The NDC , as part of its policies on Teacher motivation, has assured teachers of its support for remuneration for teachers.

Responsibility Allowances
The NDC also said it shall reinstate the payment of responsibility allowances to teachers in its next government.

Loans
The National Democratic Congress also said it shall open special credit lines to facilitate access to loans by teachers.
The NDC said it shall collaborate with teacher unions to implement a special regime allowing teachers to own vehicles under affordable terms.
