The leadership of the NaBCo Trainees Association of Ghana (NABTAG) has denied allegations of corruption levelled against them.
Read Statement below:
RE: NEVER BE A VICTIM OF CORRUPTION AND INDISCIPLINE IN THE NABCO SCHEME; CONAT CAUTIONS NABCO TRAINEES

A press release bearing the above subject has been intercepted by NABTAG on 9th September. 2021. The theme of the press release purports alleged instances of corruption registering in two folds:

a section of NABCO Coordinators collecting monies from trainees to enable them to bypass monitoring assessment scores and mobilization of funds by NABTAG to finance a project which aims at appreciating NABCO Coordinators nationwide for their hard work since the inception of the scheme as part of its climaxing activities.

This rejoinder seeks to inform the general public, especially media houses to whom the press release was directed, that the issues captured therein obscure the realities surrounding the prevailing order of affairs.

As the manner of the persons behind the press release has been staging attacks and creating non-existing scenarios of perversion to discredit management of the NABCO scheme in a similar fashion as exhibited in the release set in motion on 9th September 2021, this can only be defined as another unsuccessful attempt to bring the image of management into disrepute.

The actualities of the events which were leveraged in deception for the misrepresentations are explained (in consonance with the realities) below.

1. None of the investigative measures adopted by NABTAG reveals that monies are being extorted from trainees as a way of helping them circumvent some assessment requirements:

2. The mobilization of funds by NABTAG to help finance its project, which aims at appreciating the hard work of all Coordinators of the NABCO initiative is not compulsory. Trainees who have already contributed did so out of their own volition.

The nature of this monetary mobilization does not qualify to be labelled as extortion

As a matter of fact, no unit of truth can be apportioned to justify the face value of the press release. of which the subject has been referred in this rejoinder.

The general public is therefore entreated to disregard in totality the inference of the press release. The NABCO initiative continues to run under competent management in service to the nation
