He emphasized that Channel MoE will not only cater to educational needs but also serve as a reliable source of critical information for viewers.
“We are building one Ghana where the children of the poor and the rich would have the opportunity to study together to develop their future through the attainment of quality education,” Dr. Adutwum remarked during the launch.
He extended gratitude to the CEO of the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS), Nana Gyamfi Agyabour, and his team for their dedication in ensuring the project’s success. He also acknowledged development partners who contributed to the procurement, installation, and test transmissions of the station, which were conducted over several months.

A Call for Support
Dr. Adutwum also used the occasion to rally support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7, 2024, general elections, urging Ghanaians to vote for the party to sustain its educational reforms and innovations.
Background on Channel MoE
The idea for a Ministry of Education TV station was first disclosed by Kwasi Kwarteng, the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), during the 2022 academic year. Speaking on UTV’s Mpu ne Mpu program, he revealed that the Ministry, in collaboration with CENDLOS, had begun work on the project, including setting up a studio and content creation.
