Minister pushes for inclusion of peace, conflict studies in curriculum for basic schools

Minister of State in Charge of Tertiary Education, Prof. Kwesi Yankah is advocating the inclusion of peace and conflict studies in the curricula of basic schools, particularly in the Northern parts of the country, so that the youth will embrace peace at all times.

Speaking at the 8th graduation of the Master of Arts degree in Conflict, Gender, Peace and Security at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre at Teshie in Accra, Professor Yankah said the move will instill the spirit of unity in the youth.

He asked people of the North to take special interest in the Free SHS to send every child to school to grow up to become useful to society.
