Teaching Staff Positions

1. Faculty of Built and Natural Environment

• Professor

    • Mechanical Engineering (Air Conditioning and Plumbing Expert)

2. Faculty of Engineering (FOE) Departments with Vacancies and Areas of Specialization Required:

• Department of Automotive Engineering: Automotive Engineering
• Department of Civil Engineering: Highway Engineering
• Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering: Power Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering

3. Faculty of Applied Science and Technology (FAST) Departments with Vacancies and Areas of Specialization Required:

• Department of Computer Science: Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering
• Department of Fashion Design and Textiles: Visual Communication, Art Education (Graphic Design), Communication Design
• Department of Food and Postharvest Technology: Toxicology, Food Science (Research in Toxicology)

4. Faculty of Health and Allied Sciences (FHAS) Departments with Vacancies and Areas of Specialization Required:

• Department of Biomedical Engineering Technology: Chemistry, Radiology, Medical Imaging
• Department of Medical Laboratory Science: Histopathology / Cytopathology

5. Faculty of Business and Management Studies (FBMS) Departments with Vacancies and Areas of Specialization Required:

• Department of Accountancy: Accounting and Finance
• Department of General Studies: English Language, African Studies, French, African Art and Culture

Non-Teaching Staff/Administrative Positions

1. Junior/Assistant Registrar (Legal)

• Qualification and Experience Required:
  • LLM degree
  • Qualified Lawyer, registered by the Ghana Bar Association

2. Junior Assistant Registrar

• Qualification and Experience Required:
  • Master’s degree in Administration and Management related areas

3. Accountant

• Qualification and Experience Required:
  • Chartered Accountant with Master’s degree in the relevant field
  • Minimum three (3) years experience as an Assistant Accountant
  • Proficiency in accounting software applications

4. Senior Administrative Assistant

• Qualification and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area or;
  • HND (Secretaryship and Management Studies) with four (4) years experience or;
  • Private Secretary Certificate with five (5) years experience

5. Senior ICT Assistant

• Qualification and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in ICT or equivalent or;
  • HND in the relevant subject area with four (4) years experience as an ICT Assistant

Qualifications and Experience for Teaching Positions

1. Professor

• National and international recognition in teaching, scholarship, and innovation
• PhD in relevant field
• At least ten (10) relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals since promotion to Associate Professor
• Industry experience and professional body membership are advantageous

2. Associate Professor

• Appointment as Associate Professor in a tertiary institution
• PhD in relevant field
• At least eight (8) relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals since promotion to Senior Lecturer
• Industry experience and professional body membership are advantageous

3. Senior Lecturer

• Appointment as Senior Lecturer in a tertiary institution
• PhD in relevant field
• At least six (6) relevant publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Industry experience and professional body membership are advantageous

4. Lecturer

• Appointment as Lecturer in a tertiary institution
• PhD in relevant field
• Professional body membership is advantageous

5. Assistant Lecturer

• Research Master’s degree in relevant field
• Professional body membership is advantageous
