Due to technical difficulties, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended the application deadline for 2022 newly trained teachers from July 31, 2024, to August 21, 2024. The submission of appointment letters deadline will also be adjusted.
The management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced an extension of the application deadline for the 2022 newly trained teachers applying for positions in public basic schools.
In a statement issued on July 30, 2024, GES indicated that the shortlisted applicants, who were initially asked to complete the self-posting process by July 31, 2024, now have until August 21, 2024, to do so.
According to the statement, this extension also impacts the submission of appointment letters, which was previously scheduled to end on August 7, 2024. The new deadline for submitting appointment letters will be announced in due course.
The GES explained that the extension was necessary due to unforeseen technical difficulties teachers faced during the application process.
The statement, signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the Head of Public Relations of the GES, assures applicants that the extension is aimed at providing ample time to complete the necessary steps without further issues
