The Director In charge of Diaspora Affairs at the Presidency, Akwasi Ababio has appealed to Ghanaians in the diaspora to come on board in the development of the country and that government cannot build the country alone.
Mr. Ababio emphasized that one of the reasons President Akufo-Addo created the office at the Presidency is to help bring all Ghanaians in the diaspora on board in the building of the country.
He made the call during the launch of the Gapbuster Ghana Education Programme under the auspices of Gapbuster USA and the Outdooring of Gapbuster Multipurpose Centre at Effiduase Methodist Basic School in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern Region.
In an interview with the Executive Director of Gapbuster USA, Dr. Yvette Butler-Yeboah noted that the project is a way of giving back to society as a diasporan.

The Chief Executive Officer of Gapbuster USA who is the brain behind the project, Ekourba Yeboah called on old students to help build the school to be one of the first class Junior High Schools in the country.
He appealed to the government to reduce the impediments at the ports and harbours for people in the diaspora to bring things into the country in order to contribute to the development of the country.
The Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong noted that the provision of quality education is paramount to building of long-term impact on society in order to achieve sustainable social and economic development targets.
Mr Acheampong used the event to call on stakeholders in the education sector to focus on the challenges the country is facing in ensuring that learners improve on their outcomes.
The Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and MP for New Juaben South Constituency Michael Okyere Baafi appreciated the gesture of Gapbuster Ghana and asked for more projects as such in his constituency.
Gapbuster is a non-profit organization that strives to enable students to meet their potential in spite of socio-economic disadvantages.
It is aimed at educating, empowering, elevating and inspiring the youth to be future leaders.
