EC disqualifies all six 2019/2020 Presidential aspirants at UDS Wa Campus

The University for Develpment has Six (6) aspirants for the Wa Campus SRC Presidency.

The University’s electoral commission made this revelation in a circular published (on the 15th of March, 2019).

The electoral commission indicated it will be opening new nominations.

The Wa Campus 2018/2019 SRC Electoral Commission’s vetting committee completed its vetting process some days ago.

A proceeding circular released rather brought shock to students on the Wa Campus.

Per indications in the circular, a total of ten (10) aspirants (out of 19) for various SRC portfolios have been disqualified via the vetting process.

More shocking was the results that indicated that all SRC Presidential aspirants were disqualified.

The Commission however indicated that; “the Electoral commission will open new nomination for all the vacant positions and any interested student can pick a form including a student been disqualified based on vetting performance.”

Receive glad tidings from the vetting panel of the SRC . Below is the true manifestation of the just ended vetting of SRC /NUGS aspirants.

In pursuant to article 24 of the SRC constitution, SRC/NUGS aspirant should be able to get 40% at vetting and failure to get leads to disqualification.
