The Ghana Education Service (GES) has suspended the headmistress of Ghana Senior High School (SHS), Koforidua, Mrs Patience Naki Mensah, over an unauthorized prospectus.

According to GES, Mrs. Patience Naki Mensah has been overseeing the collection of unauthorized prospectuses from SHS freshmen. The students were allegedly required to purchase ceremonial cloth valued at ¢200, tracksuits worth ¢250, and other items not listed in the National Prospectus.

In response to these allegations, the Ghana Education Service has asked Mrs Patience Naki Mensah to step down from her position pending investigations into the matter. The swift suspension is part of GES’s commitment to maintaining transparency and upholding the country’s education standards.

This development follows the recent release of the National SHS prospectus for the 2023–2024 academic year.
