2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination Timetable is Out – CHECK HERE

NTC gives official date for conduct of the 2023 Teachers Licensure Examination

The National Teaching Council is mandated by Education Regulatory Bodies Act 2020 (ACT 1023) to regulate the teaching profession in Ghana.

Purpose of the Licensure Exam

The purpose of the Licensing Examination is to enable qualified teachers to acquire a professional licence and prepare teachers to meet the demands of the National Teachers’ Standards of possessing the minimum knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes necessary to deliver effectively in schools

The management of the National Teaching Council NTC has announced to conduct the 2023 Teacher Licensure Examination in June/July.

However, prospective candidates who will be writing the exams this year are urged to strengthen their preparation towards the exams.

The management of the National Teaching Council made this pronouncement when speaking at an induction Ceremony of the newly trained teachers from colleges of education.

2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination Timetable

LITERACY

Literacy is expected to be written on 4th May 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Essential Skills will also be written on the same day, thus 4th May 2021 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm after the first paper.

 

NUMERACY

Candidates are expected to write the numeracy on Friday, 5th May 2021 between the hours of 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination Timetable

IMPORTANT NOTICE

According to the National Teaching Council NTC, the ongoing registration for the 2023 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 1 is for re-sit candidates only.

Due to the GTLE reforms which are to be implemented this year, the Council has given three chances to candidates who are associated with the traditional GTLE (Essential Professional Skills, Literacy and Numeracy) to redeem themselves.
