Wosilatu Mohammed, a JHS 2 student from Akatsi South, emerged as the overall winner of the 2025 Girls-in-ICT competition in Volta, showcasing excellence in coding and digital skills.

 

 

Wosilatu Mohammed Crowned Overall Winner at 2025 Girls-in-ICT in Volta Region

Wosilatu Mohammed, a 13-year-old Junior High School 2 pupil from Akatsico Practice School in the Akatsi South Municipal, has emerged as the overall winner of the 2025 Girls-in-ICT Celebration held on Wednesday, June 25, in the Volta Region.

Her victory stands as a shining example of how early exposure to digital literacy and inclusive educational programs can empower girls to dream bigger in technology.

 

Rising Above Doubt with Determination

Initially unsure of her chances in a regional competition, Wosilatu quickly found her voice and confidence as she began mastering practical ICT tools, including coding, game development, and website design.

Through hard work and focus, she achieved the highest score at her training center, earning the top spot among hundreds of girls across the region.

In her heartfelt victory speech, Wosilatu extended her appreciation to:
