Ferdinand EducationGhana | JJune 17 | Update on 2019 GES Promotions: No face-to-face interviews for lower ranks

  There has been an update on the 2019 GES Promotions after  a meeting held on the 10th of June, 2018 between the Ghana Education service (GES) and Teacher Unions at the GES headquarters. Information gathered from the meeting suggests that there shall be no face-to-face interviews for the lower ranks.

This is due to the huge number of applicants to the various grades for promotion. The GES wants to now move away from the face-to-face interviews to the use of aptitude test for the lower ranks.

In view of this, applicants for principal superintendent and it’s analogous ranks (i.e. PS, Ad II and Ad I) will take an aptitude test for their promotion. However, promotions to the ranks of Deputy Director and above will be subjected to;

an Aptitude test, and then Face-to-face interviews after applicants have successfully passed their aptitude test. The unions were further assured that, by the end of the month of July, all Educational workers that have gone on promotion would have received their promotion letters and also put on scale.
