The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has postponed the 2024/2025 academic year reopening date for Level 100, 200, and 300 students to January 13, 2025, due to unforeseen circumstances.
The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) has officially announced the postponement of the reopening date for Level 100, 200, and 300 students in government Colleges of Education across Ghana for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Initially set for Monday, November 18, 2024, the reopening has now been rescheduled to Monday, January 13, 2025.
In a letter, PRINCOF cited “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason behind this decision. Although specific details regarding these circumstances were not disclosed, the association assured stakeholders that a revised academic calendar will be communicated soon to outline the updated schedule.
This change affects thousands of teacher trainees and educators, creating an adjustment period for academic and administrative preparations. The revised schedule aims to ensure that all colleges are adequately prepared for the new academic term.
