The University of Ghana announces a new admission closing date and issues directives for 2024/2025 applicants following the release of delayed WASSCE results.

 


The University of Ghana (UG) has issued a revised admission closing date and new directives for applicants following the release of the delayed 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results.

Key Details for Applicants

In a public notice dated 30th December 2024, UG instructed all prospective students to log into the admission portal and ensure the following:

Accuracy of Admission Entries:

    • Confirm full names and dates of birth.
    • Verify examination details, including index numbers, examination months, and years.

 

Review of Cut-Off Points:

    • Applicants must carefully review the 2024/2025 cut-off points before finalizing their admission data.

The admission portal will close at midnight on 3rd January 2025, preceding the release of the final admissions list.

For students yet to apply, the portal remains open, and e-vouchers can still be purchased using the MoMo short code 8879#.

Applicants are advised to act swiftly to complete their submissions and ensure all details are accurate to avoid disqualification.

This development comes as UG continues to adapt its admission process to accommodate the delayed 2024 WASSCE results, ensuring all prospective students have ample opportunity to secure admission into the 2024/2025 academic year.
