UCC CoDE Alumnus,Mr. Ezekiel Arthur-Mends donates 5 bicycles to distance education students

An Alumnus of the University of Cape Coast College of Distance Education (UCC CoDE) Alumni Association Mr Ezekiel Arthur-Mends has donated five bicycles to the College of Distance Education to be given to brilliant but needy distance education students.

The donation took place on Friday, February 5, 2021, as part of the inauguration of the Alumni Association in Cape Coast.

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dora Edu-Buandoh, presented five bicycles donated by an alumnus of CoDE, Mr Ezekiel Arthur-Mends to brilliant but needy distance education students.

The President of the Distance Education Students Association of Ghana, University of Cape Coast (DESAG UCC), Mr Daniel Nana Dwumah,  received the five new bicycles on behalf of the needy but brilliant students to help support their education.

”The Association was aimed at encouraging, fostering and promoting close relations between the College and its alumni and among the alumni themselves.” The Interim President, Mr. Leonard Kwaku Ahialey has said.

He also noted that the alumni group would pull resources to support development activities of the College in particular and the University in general.

Among other things, he said the Association would provide and disseminate information regarding the College, its graduates and students to the alumni.
